The flamingo's neck curves in a single supple line, made of rows of coral chain stitch laid with the Lunéville hook until they become plumage. The white face and black beak are needle painting, the eye is gold, and a few beads trail from the base of the neck. Around it, broad pink brushstrokes sweep the canvas like palms.
