A square of flocked brown leather, gathered at its edges, sewn straight onto the white canvas. Nothing else: the folds make the image, hollows of shadow and crests of light, a frozen drape that changes with the hour. Raw material treated as a landscape, or as the fold of a garment suspended in white.
