A small sculpture rather than a painting: golden flowers whose petals are worked with the Lunéville hook then varnished, black bead stamens, mounted on stems of twisted copper wire and planted in a log of raw birch. Embroidery leaves the frame, stands upright, and is looked at like a bouquet that will not fade.
